What began as a six-month sailing experiment quickly became our entire world. We traded highway asphalt for ocean swell and hotel door keys for a thirty-eight-foot wooden cutter we named The Circus Wagon.
Living in small floating quarters forces you to look closely at what you carry. Everything on board has its place, moisture is a daily conversation, and the weather determines when we stay or set sail. Yet with that discipline comes a quiet kind of freedom you can only find miles from the nearest shore.
